Job summary

The Arsonist Manly Pty Ltd in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to act as the Venue Manager’s trusted second-in-command, leading restaurant and bar service and ensuring exceptional guest experience.

You will coach and support the team, manage shifts and rostering with confidence, and uphold high standards across premium or high-volume hospitality environments.

Qualifications

• Proven assistant venue management or equivalent leadership experience in premium or high-volume hospitality.
• Confident shift leadership with rostering and payment handling experience.
• Exceptional customer service and ownership of the guest experience.
• Ability to brief, coach and support the team so everyone knows what’s expected.
• Personal accountability and sound judgement under pressure.

The Arsonist combines cooking over fire, a standout whiskey bar and intimate dining. We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to be the Venue Manager’s trusted second-in-command.

The role

As a hands-on 2IC, you’ll lead restaurant and bar service, uphold standards and take ownership of each shift. Exceptional customer service and guest experience are non-negotiable.

What you bring

Proven assistant venue management or equivalent leadership experience in premium or high-volume hospitality. Experience is essential.

Confident shift leadership, with practical experience in rostering, payment handling/systems and daily operations.

Exceptional customer service, strong food and beverage knowledge and ownership of the guest experience.

The ability to brief, coach and support the team so everyone knows what’s expected and can deliver.

Personal accountability, consistent follow-through and sound judgement under pressure.
