Job summary

The Carrington, part of House Made Hospitality, is a Sydney-based pub venue seeking an Assistant Venue Manager to drive day-to-day operations on the floor and support the Venue Manager. You’ll lead service, nurture the team and ensure exceptional guest experiences across shifts.

We value strong leadership, calm, and a genuine care for staff and guests, with opportunities for career progression across multiple venues within the group.

Qualifications

• Experience leading on-floor service in a pub-style venue.
• Strong guest service skills and calm under pressure.
• Confident communicator with the ability to motivate a team.
• Solid understanding of labour, operations and RSA compliance.
• Availability across evenings and weekends.

About the Role

We're looking for an Assistant Venue Manager to support the Venue Manager in driving day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on role, leading from the floor, supporting the team and helping deliver strong service, culture and results.

You will:

• Lead service and set the standard on the floor
• Support recruitment, onboarding and team development
• Coach and motivate the team to deliver great guest experiences
• Assist with rostering, labour control and daily reporting
• Maintain high service, product and compliance standards
