Job summary

Petstock is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in New South Wales to support the Store Manager and lead a passionate team to deliver world-class customer service across our Petstock Country stores. You will mentor staff, drive sales targets and ensure stock integrity while creating a safe, friendly in-store culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar store leadership role or readiness to step up
• Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets
• Strong leadership with ability to motivate and build high-performing teams
• Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities, ensuring timely tasks
• Ability to drive safe Work, Health & Safety practices
• Established business acumen
• Flexibility to adapt to changing environments
• Strong interpersonal skills with customers and the wider team

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, mentoring and inspiring your team daily
• Coach the team to achieve and develop knowledge and skills
• Provide exceptional customer experiences by leading from the front

• Support stock management and ensure stock integrity
• Assist in visual merchandising of stock displays and maintain VM standards
• Stay updated on pet care, products and services
• Recruit, onboard and induct high-calibre new team members
• Foster a fun, supportive in-store culture
• Support local marketing opportunities and sponsorships
