Job summary

Petstock Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Western Australia to support the Store Manager in leading a passionate team and delivering world-class customer service. This role offers opportunities to grow within our retail operations and contribute to our pet-loving culture.

You will mentor the team, drive sales, ensure safety and stock integrity, and actively participate in VM and local marketing efforts, while embodying our values of care for pets and people.

• Experience in a similar store leadership role or readiness to step up in retail management
• Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales targets
• Strong leadership with ability to motivate and build high-performing teams
• Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities
• Ability to drive safe Work, Health & Safety practices
• Established business acumen
• Flexibility to adapt to changing work environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with customers and the wider team

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, mentoring and inspiring your team daily
• Support your Store Manager in coaching the team to achieve and develop their knowledge and skills
• Lead from the front by consistently providing an exceptional customer experience
• Create strong safety mindset, committed to fostering a culture of safety within your team
• Support your Store Manager to manage stock effectively, ensuring accuracy and that the team follows stock integrity processes
• Assist in managing visual merchandising (VM) of stock displays, ensuring VM standards are consistently maintained
• Demonstrate initiative by actively keeping your knowledge up to date on pet care, products, and services
• Recruit, onboard, and induct high-calibre new team members
• Create a fun, supportive in-store culture where your team loves coming to work every day
• Proactively support local marketing opportunities and sponsorships
