Job summary

The BSR Group in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the Underwood Store Manager. You will lead by example, focus on customer experience, and help guide the team to run an efficient, profitable store.

You will ensure excellent service, maintain stock levels, and drive sales through staff training, feedback, and local marketing collaboration with Head Office. Prior experience in electrical appliances or furniture retail is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven successful experience in retail.
• Strong organisational & time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferably previous experience in the electrical appliance or furniture retail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Achieve key performance objectives.
• Ensure adequate stock levels to meet market demands.
• Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff.
• Complete store & warehouse administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures and asset control.
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
• Propose innovative ideas to increase market share.
• Conduct staff performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths.
• Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers.
• Drive local area marketing in conjunction with the Head Office marketing team.
• Initiate and attend product, sales, and merchandise training.
• Manage and facilitate stocktakes
