Randstad is partnering with a global market leader in off-price retail to recruit an Assistant Store Manager for a permanent, immediate-start role in the Toowoomba region. The role is hands-on and central to store performance in a fast-paced network, with stability and clear development opportunities.

In this position you will supervise merchandising, front-line operations, scheduling, and inventory intake, while recruiting and mentoring a large team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and empower a large retail team.
• Proficient in overall store operations, merchandising, people management, customer service, and health and safety.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong follow-through capabilities.
• Flexible availability across trading hours to support store operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by supporting sales results, managing expenses, and overseeing operations including merchandising, front-line, customer service, scheduling, and inventory intake.
• Attract, recruit, and cultivate top talent by providing training, development, and mentorship for team members.
• Foster an inclusive, supportive environment on the sales floor for staff and customers.
• Communicate and implement action plans for store projects, target sales goals, and operational changes.
• Execute loss prevention and programs to improve store efficiency and minimize loss.
