Job summary

Tasman Butchers in Melbourne is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team across the Eastern and Western Suburbs. The role supports store leadership, daily operations, and customer service excellence.

The ideal candidate will have lead butcher experience, drive sales, oversee cost management, stock control, and people development, with a passion for apprentices and future store leadership. Attractive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as an experienced trades qualified lead butcher looking to take the next step in their career through to store management.
• Proven ability to successfully deliver in all aspects of the role, driving sales, managing costs, increasing profit, stock control and people management and development.
• Understand the importance of growing and developing apprentices who will be our best butchers and future store management.
• Have a genuine passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Applicants with a blend of both Fresh Meat (including trades qualified butchers) and/or Fresh Food retail management experience would be highly desirable, but not essential.

Skills &Experience:
