Norco Co-operative Limited seeks a motivated Assistant Store Manager for its Coffs Harbour store. You will work with the Store Manager to lead the team, drive performance and deliver outstanding customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will guide day-to-day operations, coach staff, manage stock and merchandising, and foster a safe, collaborative culture while strengthening ties with the local community. This role offers leadership growth and long-term career development.

About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on individual with strong customer service, operational and leadership capabilities to join our Coffs Harbour team as Assistant Store Manager.

This is a key leadership role within the store. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help drive store performance, develop team capability and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

You will lead by example, support day-to-day operations and provide strong leadership to ensure the store continues to operate successfully in a fast-paced retail environment.

In This Role, You Will

• Support the effective day-to-day operation of the store, ensuring stock availability, operational efficiency and strong customer outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with customers and support Norco’s connection to the local community.
• Champion safe work practices and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

To Be Successful, You Will Demonstrate

• Leadership experience in a retail, agricultural or customer-facing environment.
• Ability to motivate, coach and develop team members.
• Strong operational and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A customer-focused approach and sound commercial awareness.
• Experience with inventory management, stock control and cash handling processes.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and POS systems.
• Current and valid driver's licence (essential).
• Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain).
• Relevant qualification in business, retail, agriculture or a related field (desirable but not essential).
• Interest in agriculture, rural products or regional communities would be highly regarded.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and hands-on approach.
