Job summary

Wattyl is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager for a permanent full-time role in Bayswater/Slacks Creek. The position supports a 38-hour week and involves customer service, tinting, and stock management while working to achieve store targets.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in retail, seeks leadership growth, and can demonstrate strong KPI performance, excellent communication, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years retail experience.
• Looking to move into a leadership role with training provided.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sound computer skills: MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Customer service and processing sales.
• Tinting and mixing of paint.
• Work with the team to achieve store targets.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Regular stock takes, stock replenishment, unpacking and storing goods.
• Operate pallet jacks and walkie stackers for manual handling.
• Assist Store Manager with admin tasks and other duties.

The Bayswater opening hours are Monday to Saturday (NO nights)

As the Assistant Store Manager you will:

• Customer service and processing sales
• Tinting and mixing of paint
• Working with the team to achieve store targets
• Being customer focused by providing an exceptional customer service
• You will also perform regular stock takes, stock replenishment, unpacking and storing or inward goods
• Using Pallet jacks , walkie stackers and other devices to assist with manual handling
• Support Store Manager with admin related tasks and other dutiesas required

In order to be considered you will have:

• 3-5 years previous retail experience
• Looking for the chance to move into a leadership role- Training provided
• Proven experience in meeting and exceeding sales and KPI goals
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Sound computer skills: MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach
• Great time management and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
