The Star Gold Coast is seeking an Assistant Sous Chef for Harvest Buffet. You will support a high-performing kitchen, lead a team, and uphold top quality, safety, and hygiene standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven Senior Chef experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant.

• Knowledge of food and labour cost controls; basic computer skills.

Join The Star Gold Coast as the Assistant Sous Chef in Harvest Buffet where you will support the smooth and efficient execution of high-quality food service at one of our busiest restaurants! As the Assistant Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role in supporting and motivating the team while consistently delivering exceptional food quality and service standards. You will help uphold the highest levels of food safety and hygiene, effectively manage stock and costs, and contribute to the development and coaching of team members to drive a high-performing kitchen culture.

The salary on offer for this role is $82,142 base salary + 12% superannuation. ($92,000 package)

• Experience driving quality and consistency, with a passion for food and a keen desire for continuous learning
• Ability to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen
• Previous knowledge of food and labour cost controls, with basic computer skills
• A warm, naturally engaging personality that takes pride in delivering a memorable product
• Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
