Job summary

The Star Gold Coast is seeking an Assistant Sous Chef for Harvest Buffet to support the smooth delivery of high-quality food service in a busy restaurant. You will play a key leadership role, supporting and motivating the team while upholding food safety standards and controlling stock and costs.

You will contribute to coaching and developing team members to sustain a high-performing kitchen culture and ensure memorable guest experiences at The Star Gold Coast.

Qualifications

• Proven Senior Chef experience in a high volume, fast paced restaurant.
• Experience driving quality and consistency, with a passion for food.
• Ability to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen.
• Previous knowledge of food and labour cost controls, with basic computer skills.
• A warm, naturally engaging personality that takes pride in delivering a memorable product.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support smooth and efficient execution of high-quality food service in Harvest Buffet.
• Assist in leading and motivating kitchen team to drive performance.
• Help manage stock, costs and waste to maintain profitability.
