Job summary

Star Discount Chemist Glenelg, part of the Star Pharmacy Group, is seeking an energetic Assistant Retail Manager to partner with the Retail Manager and lead a busy health retail team. You will mentor staff, oversee store operations and deliver exceptional customer service to enhance wellbeing and loyalty.

You’ll manage KPIs, budgets and payroll while fostering a positive, customer-focused culture. A police clearance is preferred, with S2/S3 or pharmacy experience considered a bonus.

Qualifications

• Proven retail or team management experience (pharmacy/health retail ideal).
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Experience managing KPIs, budgets and payroll.
• Thrives working in a fast paced environment.
• Current or willing to obtain police clearance.
• S2/S3 Certificate or pharmacy experience is a bonus.

About the Role

As the Assistant Retail Manager, you will partner with the Retail Manager to oversee daily operations and drive the success of the retail side of the business. You will lead by example, mentoring your team to deliver exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

Team Leadership: Inducting, training, and building the capabilities of your team.

Store Operations: Assisting with daily management, stock control, and visual merchandising tasks.

Performance & Growth: Driving passion for our brand and actively growing our customer loyalty program

People Culture: Fostering a harmonious team environment, managing workplace relations, and leading recruitment for retail roles.

About You
