Job summary

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, a luxury hotel in Sydney's CBD, seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager for Delta Rue to support daily operations and guest experiences.

You will lead the floor during service, coach the team, and ensure service excellence while collaborating with the kitchen and F&B teams. A hands-on, detail‑oriented leader with RSA competency is essential for a rotating roster including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or similar leadership role within a quality restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment is highly regarded
• Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
• Confident leading and motivating a team during busy service periods
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A hands-on, organised and solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
• A genuine interest in developing people and building a strong team culture
• Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) competency
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager with the day-to-day operation of Delta Rue.
• Lead the floor during service, ensuring smooth operations and an exceptional guest experience.
• Coach, support and develop the restaurant team, including training and onboarding.
• Build a strong service culture focused on genuine, personalised guest interactions.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, service and restaurant cleanliness.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve service issues when required.
• Lead pre-service briefings and ensure the team is prepared for each service period.
• Work closely with the kitchen and wider Food & Beverage team to deliver seamless service.
• Support rostering and daily operational requirements while ensuring RSA, food safety, WHS and hotel procedures are consistently followed.
