Job summary

Westpac Bank in Mulgrave, VIC, is seeking an Assistant Relationship Manager to shape high-quality business lending outcomes for customers across Victoria. You’ll work with Relationship Managers to assess lending opportunities end to end, analyzing financial performance and preparing clear credit submissions.

This hands-on role values credit expertise and offers exposure to commercial banking, credit risk and customer relationships while you broaden your commercial and relationship banking

Qualifications

• Strong financial analysis skills including cash flow and financial statements.
• Experience in credit analysis, credit writing, risk assessment or related discipline.
• Background in insolvency, restructuring, accounting, finance or credit is highly regarded.
• Ability to form balanced recommendations backed by financial insight and data.
• Strong written communication and collaborative approach.

Join our Professional Services portfolio as an Assistant Relationship Manager and help shape high-quality business lending outcomes for customers across Victoria, Australia. Based in Mulgrave, VIC, this is a full-time role offering strong exposure to commercial banking, credit risk and customer relationships.

You’ll work closely with Relationship Managers to assess lending opportunities from end to end. That means analysing financial performance, evaluating cash flow sustainability, understanding risk drivers and preparing clear, compelling credit submissions that support sound lending decisions. This is a hands-on role where your credit expertise will be valued while giving you the opportunity to broaden your commercial and relationship banking capability over time.

What do I need?

• Strong financial analysis skills, including cash flow, financial statements and lending structures
• Experience in credit analysis, credit writing, risk assessment or a related discipline
• A background in insolvency, restructuring, accounting, finance or credit is highly regarded
