Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Australia is seeking a capable project management professional to support or lead commissions across real estate, infrastructure and fit-out sectors. You will act as the primary client interface, ensuring projects meet time, cost and quality targets while advising on strategic approaches at conception.

You will establish governance, manage resources, and coordinate cross-functional teams, with a focus on delivering value and compliant contracts in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years’ experience in client-side project management, corporate occupier (‘fit-out’) sector.
• Knowledge of Australian construction contracts.
• Ability to manage and support a design team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project.
• Existing relationships with design consultants, builders and clients are favorable.

Responsibilities

• Support/lead Project Management Commissions, end-to-end service delivery.
• Act as the key, day-to-day client interface, ensuring objectives are met and projects delivered on time and cost.
• Advise at project conception on approaches to achieve client objectives.
• Lead establishment of overall success criteria (time, cost, technical, performance).
• Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environment issues.
• Establish project governance, processes and systems for the project.
• Produce detailed project plans and advise on resource procurement.
• Lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams.
• Monitor performance using KPIs to improve project delivery.
• Manage change control and project finances.
• Coordinate project information flow between team and client via meetings and reports.
• Produce formal project progress and other reports.
• Interface with client and other consultants at all stages.
