Turner & Townsend is a global professional services firm delivering programme, project and cost management across real estate, infrastructure and energy sectors. This opportunity invites a capable Project Manager to contribute to multi-disciplinary assignments in Canberra, overseeing cost reporting, schedules, risk and stakeholder liaison.

The role requires a technical degree, 2–8 years of project management experience, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• A recognised Degree or equivalent qualification relating to a technical field: Construction Management or Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Cost Management or relatable trade experience
• 2-8 years project management experience (ideally client side/consulting)
• Baseline clearance preferred but not essential
• Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment.
• Advanced Microsoft skills are essential and Primavera skills will be highly regarded
• Technical ability to lead and manage complex projects and programs as the key client interface
• Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report and bid writing skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop a team.
• Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your client

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and delivery of assigned project activities.
• Contribute to the development of policy, procedures, business cases and contracts associated with the development and delivery of assigned projects.
• Document control for all information, deliverables, drawings and the like
• Understand and apply policy and procedures associated with the development and delivery of assigned project activities
• Utilise approved project and financial management systems to process relevant project documentation.
• Assisting the Senior Project Manager and Project Director with tasks such as; cost reporting, program, service provider performance monitoring, risk register updates, quality assurance
• Recommend solutions to issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes.
• Assistance with bids for future work in the region, including bid plans and liaison with risk team overseas
