Job summary

St Patrick’s Primary School in Bega, NSW, seeks an Assistant Principal to partner with the Principal to drive school improvement, support staff, and promote evidence-based teaching. Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Teaching.
• Postgraduate qualification in Religious Education or Theological Studies.
• Academic qualifications additional to Initial Teacher Education (Master’s Degree or five-year equivalent).
• Practicing Catholic connected to a worshipping community with a written reference from the Parish Priest.
• NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.
• Accreditation E in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn Policy.

Responsibilities

• The Assistant Principal works with the Principal to drive school improvement and support staff in delivering evidence-based teaching.
• Focus on wellbeing and community engagement and building positive relationships with students, families, and the wider community.
• Acts as a leader of learning and a role model of Catholic faith, guiding the school with integrity, collaboration and care.

Education
