Job summary

The GPT Group is seeking a driven Assistant Operations Manager for its Office Asset Team, based at 7 Macquarie Place, Sydney. You will oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate contractors, and uphold top standards of safety, compliance and presentation across our office assets.

You will bring 3–4 years of asset operations experience, with trade or engineering qualifications in electrical or mechanical disciplines, and a proactive, stakeholder-focused approach to drive performance.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years in operational asset roles with building services exposure.
• Trade or engineering qualifications in electrical or mechanical disciplines desirable.
• Strong understanding of Building Codes, Australian Standards and OHS/WHS.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review all contractor and service contracts within budgets and legal obligations.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, fit-outs and maintenance works for efficient delivery.
• Promote a strong safety culture with internal teams and contractors.
• Support planned maintenance programs and maintain operational systems/databases.
• Assist with budgeting, purchase orders, invoices and monthly reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety measures, risk management plans and safe work methods.
