Job summary

Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts – Mascot NSW is seeking an experienced Assistant Night Manager to support overnight operations, ensure guest satisfaction and complete the night audit. You will work closely with the Night Manager to maintain security, accuracy of nightly reports and smooth 24/7 hotel functionality.

Ideal candidates have prior night-shift hotel experience, strong cash handling skills, and proficiency with Opera PMS.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing night operations in a hotel environment preferred.
• Experience with financial reconciliations and cash handling.
• Proficiency with PMS software (Opera preferred).
• Strong guest service, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of hotel safety and security procedures.
• RSA NSW and First Aid qualifications (required).
• Right to work full-time in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overnight hotel operations in partnership with the Night Manager.
• Complete the night audit and prepare daily financial reports.
• Process room charges, payments and cash handling per procedures.
• Deliver high levels of guest satisfaction through prompt service.
• Check-in/out guests and manage wake-up calls.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues.
• Monitor safety and security procedures and respond to emergencies.
• Communicate overnight developments to the morning team.
• Maintain high service standards throughout the night.

Join our team and help keep our hotel running while everyone else is sleeping!

At Crowne Plaza Sydney Airport, the guest experience never stops. We are looking for an experienced, customer-focused and proactive Assistant Night Manager to support the smooth operation of our hotel overnight.

Working closely with the Night Manager, you will play an important role in overseeing overnight operations, delivering exceptional guest service, completing the night audit and ensuring the safety and security of our guests, colleagues and property.

What you'll do:

• Support the Night Manager in overseeing all overnight hotel operations
• Complete the night audit process, including preparing daily financial reports
• Processing payments including room charges, debit and credit, cash and cheques in accordance with established procedures
• Deliver a high level of guest satisfaction through prompt and professional service
• Checking guests in, out and managing any wake-up call requests
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries, requests and complaints
• Monitor hotel safety and security procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies
• Communicate effectively with the morning team regarding important overnight developments
• Ensure the hotel maintains high standards of service throughout the night

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience managing the night processes in a hotel environment would be preferred
• Strong attention to detail and confidence with financial reconciliations and cash handling
• Computer literacy, including familiarity with PMS software - Opera preferred
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and guest service skills
• Knowledge of hotel safety and security procedures
• A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to support the wider hotel operation
• Valid NSW RSA Competency card and First Aid Qualifications (required)
• Right to Legally work full time in Australia
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
