Job summary

Hospoworld Jobadder is partnering with hospitality operators across Sydney to find passionate Assistant Managers for a variety of venues.

You could be an established Assistant Manager or a strong Supervisor stepping up. The role involves guiding daily operations, coaching staff, rostering, stock control, and delivering a warm guest experience.

We’re partnering with hospitality operators across Sydney to find passionate Assistant Managers for a variety of venues — from neighbourhood restaurants and premium dining destinations to bustling pubs and waterfront favourites.

Whether you love the detail of a polished restaurant service or the variety and energy of a busy pub, we’re keen to hear what makes you tick and help you find the right fit.

You could be an established Assistant Manager looking for a fresh challenge, or a strong Supervisor, Head Waiter or Duty Manager ready to step up.

The Opportunities

Working closely with venue leadership, you’ll help guide daily operations, support your team and deliver the kind of hospitality that brings guests back.

We’re looking for people who enjoy taking ownership: noticing the details, anticipating what’s needed and keeping the team connected through a busy service.

Depending on the venue, there’ll also be opportunities to develop your experience in rostering, stock management, training and financial performance.

What you could be doing

• Leading service and keeping the floor running smoothly.
• Creating a warm, welcoming guest experience and building relationships with regulars.
• Coaching and motivating staff, with clear communication and a hands-on approach.
• Managing shift preparation, team briefings, opening and closing procedures.
• Handling guest feedback thoughtfully and confidently.
• Supporting rostering, stock control, ordering and day-to-day administration.
• Maintaining service, presentation, safety and compliance standards.
• Contributing ideas to improve efficiency, team performance and the guest experience.

What we’re looking for

• Leadership experience in a restaurant, pub, bar or similar hospitality environment.
• A genuine love of service and the ability to make people feel looked after.
• Confidence guiding a team and making decisions during busy shifts.
• Initiative, attention to detail and pride in how your venue operates.
• A willingness to learn and take on greater responsibility.
• A current NSW RSA, with additional qualifications dependent on the venue.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends, with roster requirements varying between opportunities.
• For restaurant roles, food and wine knowledge will be valued, with the level required depending on the venue.
• For pub opportunities, broader operational or gaming experience may be an advantage.
