Job summary

The Rex Hotel is part of the ALH Hotels network in Marleston, near Adelaide. We’re seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a fast-paced, high-energy team across the pub, bistro, and gaming areas, while delivering genuine hospitality to locals and visitors alike.

You’ll support the Publican, supervise a team of hospo legends, and help ensure safe, smooth operations with a strong guest focus. RSA, RSG and RP Badge are required, and the role involves hands-on duties and lifting as part of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality customer service and guest relations.
• Some supervisory experience in bar, bistro, or gaming room environments.
• Strong communication and people skills with a professional presence.
• Current RSA, RSG and RP Badge as per state requirements.

Base Salary $80,000 + Super + Bonus Scheme + Group wide discounts

A Day In The Life Of An Assistant Manager

Inherent Requirements

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About You

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA, RSG and RP Badge as per state requirements
