Job summary

ALH Hotels’ Racehorse Hotel in Ipswich, Queensland, is seeking an Assistant Manager who thrives in a fast‑paced pub environment. This hands‑on leader will guide a busy front and gaming floor, delivering exceptional service while keeping spirits high.

You’ll work with fellow venue leaders to run peak shifts, mentor hospitality teams, and coordinate cross‑departmental operations to wow regulars and community patrons. RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on management experience in a pub/hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and team mentoring abilities.
• Experience supervising diverse hospitality teams and operations.
• RSA/RSG certification and regulatory licensing required.
• RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-floor operations across bar, bistro and gaming areas.
• Partner with venue leaders to run peak shifts and maintain high service standards.
• Mentor and develop hospitality teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Coordinate cross‑departmental operations to ensure smooth service and safety.
