Job summary

Accor's Pullman at Sydney Olympic Park is seeking an Assistant Manager (Duty Manager) to lead the Front Office during shifts, delivering guest experiences and ensuring smooth operations.

You will mentor team members, coordinate with departments, and uphold service standards in a fast-paced environment, with a rotating roster including weekends and events.

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a hotel Front Office environment or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations and guest service standards.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, hands-on leadership style with a passion for developing people.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with Opera Cloud or similar Property Management Systems (preferred).
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends, evenings, public holidays and major event days.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Valid RSA certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Availability to work full-time.
  • Current and valid Australian driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the Front Office team during your shift and ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Delivering exceptional guest experiences and resolving guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Coaching, mentoring and supporting Front Office team members to achieve service excellence.
  • Conducting shift briefings, handovers and team communication updates.
  • Building strong working relationships across all hotel departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitoring hotel standards, procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Assisting with team training, development and performance management.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and rostering activities as required.
  • Managing daily balancing procedures and ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Acting as the senior hotel representative and decision-maker during your shift.
  • Leading by example through a visible and hands-on approach to service delivery.

Job Description

Pullman at Sydney Olympic Park, is looking for a motivated and energetic Assistant Manager (Duty Manager) to join our Front Office leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about guest service, operational excellence, and developing high-performing teams.

As Assistant Manager (Duty Manager), you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day hotel operation during your shift, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, supporting and developing team members, and acting as a key point of contact for guests and colleagues across the hotel.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the Front Office team during your shift and ensuring smooth daily operations
