Job summary

Burson is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (2IC) for the Springvale branch in Melbourne. You will lead daily operations, drive sales, and motivate a hands‑on team to perform at its best. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service to trade and retail customers.

You will support store standards, inventory control, and OH&S compliance while guiding staff to achieve goals and maintain a positive team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a driven and diverse team environment.
• Experience in automotive parts sector or related sectors preferred.
• Experience engaging with and motivating team members.
• Client-driven with strong time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day store operations and drive sales performance.
• Support the Store Manager and mentor the team to achieve targets.
• Handle customer and trade queries with high service levels.
• Assist with inventory control and stock accuracy.
• Maintain store standards and ensure OH&S compliance.
• Foster a collaborative, customer‑focused store culture.

• Leading and supporting your team

Qualifications

• An ability to work in a driven and diverse team environment
• Ideally experience in the automotive parts sector (or related sectors)
• The ability to engage with, and motivate team members
• Client‑driven with strong time management abilities & attention to detail
• OH & S experience, with sound administrative skills and solid computer literacy.
