Job summary

Burson is seeking an Assistant Store Manager at the Berri Branch to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and inspire the team to perform at their best.

You’ll support the Store Manager and help connect customers with parts, tools and workshop equipment while maintaining store standards and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a driven and diverse team environment.
• Experience in automotive parts sector or related fields preferred.
• Ability to engage with and motivate team members.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
• OH&S experience with administrative and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Handle automotive parts queries from trade and retail/DIY customers.
• Provide high level customer service with emphasis on retention and development.
• Assist with inventory control.
• Maintain store standards and adhere to policies and OH&S compliance.
• Support the Store Manager.
• Lead and support the team.

As an Assistant Store Manager atBurson, you’ll play a hands‑on role in leading day‑to‑day operations, driving sales, and motivating your team to perform at their best.

We’re on the lookout for a motivated Assistant Store Manager (2IC) to support our Berri Branch. At Burson, you’re never just a number—you’ll be part of a supportive, close‑knit team working together to connect our people, our customers, and our business every single day.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling automotive parts queries from trade and retail/DIY customers
• Provide a high level of customer service with an emphasis on customer retention & development
• Assisting with inventory control
• Maintaining store standards and adhere to company policies, procedures and OH & S compliance
• Supporting the Store Manager
• Leading and supporting your team

Qualifications

• An ability to work in a driven and diverse team environment
• Ideally experience in the automotive parts sector (or related sectors)
• The ability to engage with, and motivate team members
• Client-driven with strong time management abilities & attention to detail
• OH & S experience, with sound administrative skills and solid computer literacy.
