Job summary

Aegis Banksia Park is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse with aged care experience to join our team in Western Australia. PT shifts are available, offering a great work–life balance and ongoing development opportunities.

You will conduct clinical and social assessments, support residents and families, and mentor care staff while adhering to Aged Care Quality Standards. AHPRA registration is required, with full Australian working rights.

Qualifications

• A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Clinical experience and ability to manage risk in aged care.
• A sound understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and quality management systems.
• Full Australian working rights and be able to pass a national police clearance.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking clinical, social and self-care assessments.
• Anticipate Residents' changing health needs and initiate further assessments or referrals.
• Support Residents and their families by addressing their queries, comments, suggestions, or concerns.
• Identifying and managing clinical risk in the aged care setting.
• Providing support to the Clinical Nurse Manager and mentoring the care team.

About You

• An ability to inspire trust and proactively lead, coach, develop and mentor both unregulated care workers, care, and lifestyle staff.

Within this role you will be a champion of high quality, safe and effective nursing that aligns with the resident preference and best practice by:

• Undertaking clinical, social and self-care assessments.
• Anticipate Residents changing health needs and initiate further assessments or referrals.
• Support Residents and their families by addressing their queries, comments, suggestions, or concerns.

You will be responsible for compliance:

• Ensuring all care documentations are completed with the appropriate strategies implemented.
• Identifying and managing clinical risk in the aged care setting.

Your role within the team would involve:

• Supporting, coaching, monitoring, and mentoring the unregulated care workers.
• Providing support to the Clinical Nurse Manager and clinical expertise to the care team.

We need you to possess the following accreditation, skills and working rights:

• A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Clinical experience and ability to manage risk in aged care.
• A sound understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and quality management systems.
