Anyday’s Golden Avenue in Brisbane seeks an energetic Assistant Head Sommelier to lead refined wine service and guest engagement. You will guide guests through pairings, maintain precise inventory, and support the floor team to sustain quality service.

The Role

Golden Avenue is seeking a high-energy and guest-centric Assistant Head Sommelier to join our team. As part of the wine team, you will play a key role in delivering curated wine service through educated recommendations, correct wine service techniques, and accurate inventory tracking. This role supports the floor team by ensuring high-quality service, operational efficiency, and execution of the venues wine and beverage program.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in wine service within a quality-driven or high-volume dining venue
• Comfortability in guiding guests through beverage conversations and pairings
• Ability to thrive in a large-scale and fast-paced environment
• Exceptional guest engagement skills fostering an energetic floor presence
• Collaborative mindset and ability to navigate the floor in consideration of the wider team
• Passion for wine, regional styles and the stories behind producers
• WSET Level 2 certification or WSET Level 3
• RSA & Food Safety Certificate required
