Job summary

Little Saints Early Learning Centre in Traralgon is seeking an Assistant Director to support day-to-day operations and lead the team with passion and expertise. You will work closely with the Centre Director to ensure top-quality programs and welcoming experiences for children and families.

The role emphasises staff mentoring, rostering, and upholding National Quality Standards, EYLF/VEYLDF, and child safety practices while building strong relationships with families and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor in Early Education.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Proficiency in EYLF/VEYLDF and National Quality Standards.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Centre Director with day-to-day management of the centre.
• Provide guidance, mentoring and leadership to staff to ensure high-quality programs.
• Collaborate in staff rostering.
• Uphold Little Saints ELC high-quality standards and work practices.
• Nurture relationships with children, families, educators and external stakeholders.

Assistant Director - Park Lane Traralgon

We pride ourselves on our separate play environments, spacious rooms and generous age appropriate learning resources and well resourced indoor and outdoor spaces.

We have a unique position for an Assistant Director who is a passionate, knowledgeable and dedicated individual who has experience and the desire to lead, support and manage our team and assist with the day to day running of our centre in conjunction with the Centre Director.

You will assume responsibility for the following: -

assist the Centre Director with the day-to-day management of the centre in accordance with legislative requirements and Little Saints ELC policies.

provide guidance, mentoring and leadership to staff to ensure the delivery of high quality programs. .

collaborating with the Centre Director in preparation of staff rostering

upholding Little Saints ELC high-quality standards and work practices.

nurture relationships with our children, families, educators and external stakeholders.

participate in attracting, converting and retaining families through tours, enrolments and orientations.

You will possess:

A good understanding of the Child Safe Standards

Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor of Early Education

Current Working with Children Check or be prepared to get one

Be prepared to undertake a National Police Check

Proficiency in EYLF / VEYLDF and National Quality Standards

Great personal presentation

Confidence and curiosity to build relationships with our families

A desire to contribute to an awesome team

Be a great communicator with adults and children

Have a proactive approach to care and support

Be able to demonstrate sensitivity, patience and kindness
