Job summary

Little Saints Early Learning Centre in Maffra VIC is seeking a Service Director to lead our dedicated team and guide daily operations with a passion for quality early childhood education.

You will oversee recruitment, compliance, team development, parent and community relations, and deliver a safe, nurturing environment that supports growth for children and staff. A Diploma or BEd is required, with current First Aid, asthma/anaphylaxis, and Working with Children Check.

CENTRE DIRECTOR - Lead with Purpose at Little Saints ELC

This is a full-time leadership opportunity for a dynamic people leader with a high-performing mindset. You will take the helm of our centre’s operations—driving excellence in early childhood education while cultivating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for both children and staff.

As our Service Director, you will:

• Lead with empathy and confidence, inspiring and empowering educators to thrive and grow professionally.
• Drive excellence in daily operations, ensuring quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across all aspects of the centre.
• Champion a culture of care, curiosity, and collaboration, where children and educators alike feel valued and supported.
• Oversee the full scope of centre operations, including recruitment, regulatory compliance, team development, and resource management.
• Build and nurture meaningful relationships with families, staff, and the wider community—becoming a trusted and respected presence.
• Create an inclusive, welcoming environment through your strong interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring every child and family feels seen and supported.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and professional workplace culture that prioritises growth and well-being.
• Maintain the highest standards of early childhood education, ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation and quality frameworks.

The successful applicant will have:

• A completed Diploma in Children’s Services and/or Bachelor of Education (or working towards)
• Current First Aid and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates, and current Working with Children check.
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with Children, Families and Educators
• Right to work in Australia.
