Job summary

Discover My World Early Learning is building a new 74-place service in Crows Nest and seeks an energetic Assistant Director to lead from day one. You will support the Centre Director, recruit and mentor a brand-new team of educators, and help shape a positive, inclusive culture across the centre.

You'll bring a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent, strong NQF/NQS/EYLF knowledge, and be eligible to act as Nominated Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) – ECT qualification highly regarded.
• Leadership experience in long day care (2IC, Room Leader or similar).
• Strong knowledge of the NQF, NQS and EYLF V2.0.
• Eligible to be a Nominated Supervisor / Responsible Person.
• Working With Children Check and First Aid/Anaphylaxis/Asthma and Child Protection training.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director with day-to-day running of the service.
• Lead, coach and mentor a brand-new team of educators.
• Help recruit, onboard and build a positive, supportive team culture.
• Build strong relationships with families and grow enrolments.
• Support compliance with the National Quality Framework and NQS.
• Step into the Responsible Person role when the Director is away.
