Job summary

Discover My World Early Learning in Crows Nest, NSW, is opening a brand-new 74-place centre beside the metro. We’re seeking an energetic Assistant Director to work with the Centre Director from day one, helping to build a strong team and culture from scratch.

You’ll lead, coach and mentor a new team of educators, recruit and onboard, grow enrolments and ensure compliance with NQF, NQS and EYLF. You may step into the Responsible Person role when the Director is away.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ACECQA-approved equivalent is required or highly regarded.
• Proven leadership experience in long day care or childcare teams.
• Strong knowledge of NQF, NQS and EYLF V2.0.
• Eligible to be a Nominated Supervisor / Responsible Person.
• Valid Working With Children Check and essential first aid and child protection training.
• Be a founding leader of a brand-new team.
• Career growth within a small three-centre group.

Help us build something special. Discover My World is a family-owned early learning group opening our newest service in Crows Nest – a 74-place, purpose-built centre beside the new Crows Nest Metro. This is a rare chance to help build a team and a culture from scratch. We're looking for an energetic, organised Assistant Director who's excited to lead alongside our Centre Director from day one.

What you'll do

Support the Centre Director with the day-to-day running of the service

Lead, coach and mentor a brand-new team of educators

Help recruit, onboard and build a positive, supportive team culture

Build strong relationships with families and grow enrolments

Support compliance with the National Quality Framework and NQS

Step into the Responsible Person role when the Director is away

What you'll bring

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) – ECT qualification highly regarded

Leadership experience in long day care (2IC, Room Leader or similar)

Strong knowledge of the NQF, NQS and EYLF V2.0

Eligible to be a Nominated Supervisor / Responsible Person

Working With Children Check, First Aid (HLTAID012), Anaphylaxis and Asthma training, Child Protection training
