Job summary

Australian Department of Defence – Canberra ACT is seeking an experienced Human Services practitioner to join the Directorate of Helpline, Incidents and Welfare Policy team. You will support ADF members and their families to navigate the challenges of military life.

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration and strategic direction of the Families with Special Needs program, supervising the Families with Special Needs Program Manager and team.
• Support the directorate in assessing applicants under the Overseas Lateral Entry program.
• Design and implement enhancements to support members and Command, including managing delegations for categorising recognised family and approving education assistance funding.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand needs and support reporting, procurement, budgeting and quality assurance.
