Job summary

Health and Community Services Directorate (HCSD) in Canberra is seeking an Assistant Director to join the Governance, Assurance and Risk team. You will provide strategic governance advice, develop and implement reporting frameworks, and prepare high-quality briefings for senior executives and government stakeholders.

You will lead projects that support strategic priorities, maintain governance documentation, and drive continuous improvement through research, analysis and stakeholder engagement

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate or strategic reporting is desired but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic governance advice and reporting for senior executives and government stakeholders.
• Develop and implement governance and performance reporting frameworks.
• Review business processes and governance frameworks to support decision-making.
• Prepare high-quality briefings, reports and correspondence for executives and committees.
• Lead projects that support strategic priorities and cross-directorate initiatives.
• Maintain governance documentation and records; drive continuous improvement through research and stakeholder engagement.
