Job summary

Green Leaves Early Learning Wodonga is seeking an Assistant Director to support the Centre Director and lead a team of educators in delivering high-quality programs. You will mentor staff, ensure best-practice pedagogy, and uphold the Green Leaves Commitments to safety, learning and family connections.

Ideal candidates have ACECQA-approved credentials, experience with QikKids/StoryPark, and current checks. The role requires rotating shifts and a commitment to wellbeing and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Assistant Director (preferred, not essential)
• Knowledge and experience with QikKids and StoryPark (or similar equivalent platforms)
• A current ACECQA-approved Diploma or Bachelor qualification
• Current and State-relevant Working with Children's Check
• Current Child Protection and National Child Safety Training Certificates
• Current First Aid and CPR (HLTAID012)
• National Police Clearance obtained in the last 6 months
• Proda ID and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Must be available to work rotating shifts that may start as early as 6:30 am and finish as late as 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Centre Director in day-to-day operations
• Guide the team in developing and delivering high-quality programs
• Mentor and develop staff in line with best practice
• Foster a warm, welcoming culture aligned with Green Leaves Commitments
• Collaborate with National Learning, Research and Development Partners on pedagogy, wellbeing and inclusion
• Manage time, priorities and communications to ensure smooth centre performance
