Job summary

Green Leaves Early Learning Mickleham VIC is seeking an Assistant Director to support the Centre Director, lead a warm, collaborative team and ensure high-quality programs that inspire children.

You will mentor educators, uphold our Commitments, work with Pedagogy and wellbeing initiatives, and rotate shifts from early morning to evening to suit families.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Director or similar leadership role in childcare.
• ACECQA-approved Diploma or Bachelor qualification.
• Working with Children Check (State), First Aid & CPR, National Police Check.
• Proda ID and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Availability for rotating shifts 6:30am–6:30pm, Mon–Fri.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director in daily operations.
• Guide curriculum development and delivery of high-quality programs.
• Mentor and develop the team in line with best practice.
• Build a positive, warm, and welcoming culture.
• Collaborate with national learning and development partners to support pedagogy, wellbeing, inclusion & sustainability.

About You:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Director
• Knowledge and experience with QikKids and StoryPark (or similar equivalent platforms)
• A current ACECQA-approved Diploma or Bachelor qualification
• Current and State-relevant Working with Children's Check
• Current Child Protection and National Child Safety Training Certificates
• Current First Aid and CPR (HLTAID012)
• National Police Clearance obtained in the last 6 months
• Proda ID and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Must be available to work rotating shifts that may start as early as 6:30 am and finish as late as 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday
