Job summary

Goodstart Early Learning Nambour – Doolan Street is seeking an Assistant Director to work with the Centre Director to oversee day-to-day operations and lead a high-performing team.

You will mentor staff, support quality practice, strengthen family relationships and drive ongoing improvement across the centre, guided by the Goodstart Practice Guide.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, mentoring and coaching early learning teams.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF and NQS and how to apply them in practice.
• Proven ability to build quality outcomes for children, families and staff.

About The Role

As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Nambour – Doolan Street, you'll work alongside our Centre Director to support the day-to-day operations of the centre while helping to build a positive, high-performing team culture.

You'll use your leadership experience and passion for early learning to mentor educators, support quality practice, strengthen family relationships, and drive continuous improvement across the centre.

What you'll bring

• Previous experience as an Assistant Director, Centre Leader, Senior Educator, or in a similar leadership role
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills
• Current QLD Working with Children Check
• Certificate of Completion for the National Child Safety Foundation Training via the Geccko platform
• Passion for delivering exceptional outcomes for children, families, and teams
