Job summary

The Y Queensland is seeking an Assistant Coordinator for YMCA Sandgate Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part‑time basis. You’ll support the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead child-led programming, and guide a passionate team to deliver safe, fun, and enriching care for children.

Working with a not-for-profit organisation, you’ll contribute to community outcomes and benefit from development opportunities, flexible hours, and supportive leadership.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC/Teaching qualification (or studying towards).
• Demonstrated experience in child programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework.

We are seeking a capable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Sandgate Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part time basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.
