Job summary

YMCA Leichhardt Outside School Hours Care is seeking an Assistant Coordinator on a permanent part-time basis to support the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming and guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun care for children.

You'll engage with children, families and schools, ensure compliance and support administration, while fostering a calm, inclusive and learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC/Teaching (or studying towards)
• Experience in child programming and administration
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Blue Card or willingness to obtain
• First Aid & CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework

About the role

We are seeking a capable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Leichhardt Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part time basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.
