Job summary

Resthaven Mitcham Residential Services is seeking an Assistant Cook to join our team on a full-time/part-time basis, with shifts from 7:00am to 3:30pm. You will assist residents by preparing nourishing meals in consultation with individual care plans and considering dietary needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery qualification.
• Experience in food handling and preparation services.
• Experience in Aged Care or similar field with ability to lead a kitchen.
• Knowledge of food safety legislation, IDDSI and allergens.
• Available to work permanent part time - 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Resthaven Mitcham Residential Services is currently seeking an Assistant Cook to join their team on a full-time/part-time basis working 7am - 3:30pm

Resthaven offers you regular, daytime working hours, giving you a healthy work life balance and job continuity. You will assist our residents by preparing nourishing meals in consultation with individual care plans and taking into consideration special dietary needs.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery qualification
• Experience in providing food handling and preparation services
• Experience in Aged Care or a similar field, with a proven ability to lead a team and manage a kitchen.
• Knowledge of food safety legislation, IDDSI and allergens
• Possess a passionate, creative, and a can do attitude
• Available to work permanent part time - 7:00am to 3:30pm
