Viva Leisure in Redcliffe is seeking an Assistant Club Manager as part of our Future Leaders Programme. You will gain hands-on experience and mentorship while developing leadership, sales, and member engagement skills to progress toward a Club Manager role.

You’ll support day-to-day club operations, coach staff, drive membership sales, ensure a safe, clean facility, and deliver an exceptional member experience. This is a permanent part-time role (25 hours/week).

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of and a passion for the Fitness Industry.
• Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within the fitness or retail sectors.
• Demonstrated people management and team leadership experience.
• Proven sales aptitude with a results-driven mindset and ability to meet targets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word,Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Drive membership growth by proactively following up on leads and walk-ins to maximise conversion
• Monitor club performance metrics (e.g. Net Member Movement,PT Packs sold) and support improvement initiatives
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to staff toenhance sales and customer service capabilities
• Ensure accurate onboarding of new members, includinginductions and access setup
• Promote additional services such as Personal Training,Programs, and Group Fitness to enhance member experience
• Collaborate with the Club Manager on local marketinginitiatives and community engagement
• Respond to member enquiries and complaints, escalatingissues as needed
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of clubfacilities and equipment
• Support safety compliance through audits, incidentreporting, and hazard management
• Assist with administrative duties and ensure adherence tocompany policies and procedures
• Lead by example, fostering a positive team culture andsupporting staff development and recruitment
• Manage and support Group Fitness and Personal Trainingoperations, including timetabling, recruitment, and leadgeneration

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Club Manager atour club in Redcliffe! You’ll be responsiblefor delivering exceptional leadership and promoting health andwell-being among members and staff, all while building the skillsneeded to progress toward a future Club Manager role.

The Assistant Club Manager supports the Club Manager inoverseeing day‑to‑day club operations and plays a key role indelivering an exceptional member experience. Responsibilitiesinclude assisting in the leadership and development of ahigh‑performing team, maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑presentedfacility, and ensuring the club offers engaging programs that meetand exceed member expectations.

The role requires a strong focus on customer service,operational excellence, and driving new membership sales. In theabsence of the Club Manager, the Assistant Club Manager acts as theprimary point of contact and represents the club, ensuringcontinuity in leadership and service standards.

This is a permanent part‑time opportunity - 25 hours perweek.

SKILLS& EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with:
