Job summary

The Great Aussie Bush Camp at Redland Bay is seeking an energetic Assistant Centre Manager to support the day-to-day leadership and operations of our centre, ensuring safe, high-quality outdoor education experiences from arrival to departure. You will lead activity instructors, support operational teams, mentor staff and coordinate rostering, safety and guest engagement across our 220 acres of bushland.

This hands-on role requires strong communication, calm leadership and a passion for safety

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop Activity Instructors.
• Support training, performance and staff progression.
• Help deliver safe, fun and engaging programs.
• Serve as a key onsite contact for teachers and group leaders.
• Support daily operations including kitchen, cleaning and maintenance.
• Assist rostering, resourcing, safety and compliance.
• Jump in to solve problems and keep operations moving.

Just 40 minutes from Brisbane and an hour from the Gold Coast, Kindilan is set across 220 acres of beautiful bushland in Redland Bay. Zoned as a Conservation Area in South East Queensland, camp feels like a true escape into nature, with wide open spaces, native bush and wildlife all around.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Centre Manager to support the day‑to‑day leadership and operations of our centre, helping deliver safe, fun and high‑quality outdoor education experiences.

About the role

Working closely with the Centre Manager, you’ll be right at the heart of the action — leading activity instructors, supporting operational teams and making sure every guest experience runs smoothly from arrival to departure.

You’ll be a visible, energetic presence around the centre, mentoring staff, engaging with visiting teachers and stepping in to solve challenges as they arise. No two days look the same, and that’s exactly why this role is so rewarding.

What you’ll be doing

• Current (or willingness to obtain) Paid Blue Card
• First Aid & Bronze Medallion (or willingness to gain)
