Job summary

Young Academics in Parramatta, NSW seeks an Assistant Centre Manager to support the Centre Manager in day-to-day leadership, operations and performance of the service.

You will mentor educators, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a collaborative, child-safe culture while contributing to centre-wide success and stepping into Centre Manager duties when delegated.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to mentor and support educators.
• Strong knowledge of NQS, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
• Current NSW WWCC for paid work.

• Act as Responsible Person and assist with Centre Manager responsibilities when delegated.

About the Role

As an Assistant Centre Manager, you will work closely with the Centre Manager to support the day-to-day leadership, operations and performance of the service while continuing to deliver high-quality education and care.

You will support regulatory compliance, mentor and develop educators, build strong relationships with families and contribute to a positive, collaborative and child-safe culture. This is a great opportunity to grow your leadership capability, contribute to centre-wide success and step into Centre Manager responsibilities when delegated.

This position is a full-time role – Monday to Friday between 6:30 am – 6:00 pm.

Responsibilities

About You

• An ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Demonstrated leadership capability and the ability to mentor and support educators.
• Strong knowledge of the NQS, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, child protection and regulatory requirements.
• Current and valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Current National Mandatory Child Protection certification.
• Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
• A genuine commitment to child safety, safeguarding and inclusive practice.
