Job summary

Mini Masterminds Erskineville is seeking a passionate Full-Time Assistant Centre Director to help lead our 83-place early childhood centre. You will work closely with the Centre Director to support daily operations, mentor staff, and maintain high standards of education and care.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on building strong relationships with children and families, driving quality improvement, and stepping in confidently in the Centre Director's absence.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-approved).
• Leadership experience within an Early Childhood Education setting.
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications.
• Current Child Protection training/certificate.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQF, and NQS.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director with daily operations of the centre.
• Lead, mentor, and support educators to deliver high-quality education and care.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and the local community.
• Support compliance with NQF, NQS, and relevant legislation.
• Assist with staffing, rostering, and centre administration.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and processes.
• Lead the centre confidently in the absence of the Centre Director.
