Busy Bees is seeking an hands-on Assistant Centre Director for our Bellmere centre on a full-time maternity leave contract until July 2027. The role involves supporting the Centre Director, coaching educators on the floor, covering breaks, and stepping into the Centre Director role when needed, at our modern 120-place centre in Bellmere, QLD.

We're seeking a hands-on Assistant Centre Director to join Busy Bees at Bellmere on a full-time maternity leave contract until July 2027. Our modern, purpose-built 120-place centre has a close-knit team of long-standing educators. This role suits a flexible, supportive leader who enjoys coaching and mentoring educators on the floor, covering breaks and jumping into rooms as needed to support the team.

What you'll do

• Support the Centre Director in the day-to-day leadership and operations of the service.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire educators to deliver high-quality education and care.
• Build strong partnerships with families and the local community.
• Support compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Regulations.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• Step into the Centre Director role when required.

What you'll bring

• A genuine commitment to child safety, speaking up, always doing the right thing, and alignment with Busy Bees values.
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher).
• Current Working with Children Check for QLD.
• Sound knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and Child Protection legislation.
• Leadership experience or a strong desire to grow into a leadership role within the ECEC industry.
• Flexibility and a team-first approach, with a willingness to work a rotating roster and step into rooms wherever needed.
