Job summary

Busy Bees Tingalpa is seeking an Assistant Centre Director (2IC) for our 75-place centre in Brisbane. You will work alongside an experienced Centre Director to support occupancy growth, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality early learning experiences.

You will be on the floor, support educators, build strong family partnerships and contribute to curriculum planning, continuous improvement and governance. A pathway to Centre Director will be available as you develop leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience or a strong desire to grow into a leadership role within the ECEC industry.
• Current Working with Children Check for QLD.
• Sound knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and Child Protection legislation.
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher).

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director in the day-to-day leadership and operations of the service.
• Be hands-on across the floor, supporting educators and stepping in wherever needed.
• Build strong partnerships with families and the local community.
• Support compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Regulations.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, reflective practice, and continuous improvement.
• Step into the Centre Director role when required.
