Job summary

Busy Bees Bayswater is seeking an experienced Assistant Centre Director on a full-time fixed-term maternity leave cover. You will support daily operations, mentor educators, and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment for children and families at Bayswater North VIC.

Lead by example, foster high standards, and collaborate with families while upholding NQF requirements and EYLF guidelines. This role includes stepping into Centre Director duties when needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher) is required.
• Current Working with Children Check for Victoria.
• Experience leading and mentoring educators in an ECEC setting.
• Solid knowledge of EYLF, NQS and Child Protection legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director in day‑to‑day leadership and operations.
• Lead, mentor and inspire educators to deliver high‑quality education and care.
• Build strong partnerships with families and the local community.
• Support compliance with the National Quality Framework and National Regulations.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• Step into the Centre Director role when required.

We're seeking an experienced and supportive Assistant Centre Director to join our team at Busy Bees at Bayswater on a full-time, fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

You will play a key role supporting the Centre Director with daily operations, mentoring educators, and fostering a safe, engaging, and high-quality learning environment for children and families.

What you'll do

• Support the Centre Director in the day-to-day leadership and operations of the service.

What you'll bring
