This will suit junior candidates with 1 to 3 years experience who has a good foundation in accounts payable and looking to further enhance skills in a big, multinational and progressive environment.

About the role

• Management of supplier master data
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices
• Ensure proper documentation and records of all invoices
• Reviewing and reconciling statements
• Handling vendor queries and effective vendor communication
• Assisting with ad hoc reporting for the AP Manager
• Reconciliation of creditors balance against supplier statements
• Processing Forex Payments and currency variance clearance
• Other ad hoc duties as required

About you

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in commercial roles
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and pro-active toward
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Exceptional time-management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
• High attention to detail
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

• Experience with processing multi–Foreign Currencies transactions is advantageous

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team! Reporting to the Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will consist of processing of invoices payable and receivable, reconciliation of bank statements and petty cash, and liaising with internal and external customers. As well as this, you will be required to take ownership of the office administration function which will include assisting with reception duties. This position is full time Monday to Friday located at our Wollongong Head Office.

• Previous accounts experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional to join a fast-paced retail and FMCG environment. Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices
• Process supplier claims
• Review and process supplier credit notes
• Review and process employee benefit/ travel expenses claims
• Review and process Costco warehouse/depot expenses and take necessary action
• Follow up on missing supplier invoices and take necessary action to pay invoices on time
• Perform end to end supplier statement reconciliation monthly to identify and analyse variances, communicate with external and internal stakeholders, and take appropriate action to resolve discrepancies to pay supplier invoices on time
• Analyse freight and duty suppliers’ statements monthly to resolve discrepancies to make on time supplier payments
• Review and analyse AP aged items monthly and take necessary action
• Liaising with suppliers on a regular basis to keep supplier account up to date with no aging items
• Review invoices paid from bank vs amount booked into GL daily to assist with bank reconciliation. Follow up and resolve outstanding items on the bank reconciliations
• Monthly GST review to ensure it is accurate and take necessary action
• Assist in other areas of the Accounts Payable function as required to achieve team's KPI

The ideal candidate will be eager to grow their career in Accounts Payable and bring valuable experience in handling complex AP tasks. This includes end-to-end vendor statement reconciliations, vendor claims, bank reconciliations, month-end GL to sub-ledger reconciliations, inter-company account reconciliations, and employee T&E claims. Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse data and investigate discrepancies will be essential for success in this role.
