St Johns Park Bowling Club is seeking a dynamic Assistant Accountant to join the Finance division in a full-time capacity. You will support day-to-day financial operations and assist the CFO and Finance team in maintaining accurate records.

The role focuses on month-end processes, reconciliations, internal controls and collaboration across departments in a busy hospitality setting. A 2+ year accounting background, a degree in Accounting/Finance and Excel proficiency are required.

Competenze

• Minimum 2 years accounting experience; clubs industry experience would be highly regarded.
• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Working towards CPA or CA qualification will be highly regarded.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with accounting software and financial management systems.

Mansioni

• Manage and reconcile the Club’s bank accounts, process daily banking transactions.
• Monitor accounts receivable and investigate financial discrepancies.
• Complete monthly general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end processes, journals, accruals and prepayments, and contribute to monthly financial reporting.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, reconcile fixed assets to the general ledger.
• Manage monthly credit card reconciliations and expense coding.
• Support interim reviews and annual external audits, maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
• Work collaboratively across departments and contribute to cross-training and broader Finance Team activities.
