Job summary

Venues NSW is a commercially focused agency of the NSW Government, managing iconic venues such as the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium. We seek an Assistant Accountant to support financial and management accounting, budgeting and reporting across our NSW network.

You will be based at our head office in Moore Park and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial services and compliance.

Qualifications

• Formal tertiary accounting qualification is required.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are essential.
• Understanding of financial accounting processes including reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills are important for delivering accurate financial services.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Financial Controller across financial and management accounting, budgeting and reporting.
• Based at the head office in Moore Park but work across Venues NSW network across NSW.
