Job summary

Frog Recruitment is seeking an experienced accounting professional for a three-month, part-time assignment in Croydon, Sydney. The role supports the finance function during a busy period, performing transactional work and ensuring accuracy of day-to-day financial operations.

The ideal candidate has experience as an Assistant Accountant or Accountant with strong bank reconciliations, journal processing and MYOB proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience using MYOB.
• Not-for-profit sector experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.

• Perform corporate credit card reconciliations and follow up outstanding transactions.
• Maintain financial records within MYOB.
• Assist with month-end finance administration and reporting requirements.

Job description

If you're looking to secure a part-time accounting assignment before Christmas for the next three months this opportunity offers immediate work for-profit organisation. Working for a business that does good you will support the finance function during a busy period while contributing to the accuracy and integrity of day-to-day financial operations.

This is a three-month contract commencing as soon as possible, offering two days per week (Thursday and Friday) based in Croydon. The role would suit an experienced accounts professional who enjoys hands-on transactional accounting.

You will provide support across core finance activities including:

• Manage bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
• Prepare and post journals accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform corporate credit card reconciliations and follow up outstanding transactions
• Maintain financial records within MYOB
• Assist with month-end finance administration and reporting requirements

To be successful, you will bring:

• Previous experience in a Assistant Accountant, or Accountant
• Strong bank reconciliation and journal processing experience
• Experience using MYOB
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Previous experience within the not-for-profit sector
• Exposure to supporting month-end processes and financial reporting
